Japanese Heritage Sake & Spirits U.S. Association
The Japanese Heritage Sake & Spirits U.S. Association is a nonprofit cultural organization based in the United States, dedicated to preserving, promoting, and passing down the cultural heritage of Japanese sake and shochu.
Our mission is to present the artistry of Japanese brewing, regional characteristics, and drinking etiquette authentically to the American public through education, cultural exchange, and community engagement, fostering mutual understanding and friendship between nations.
Our Mission
1. Cultural Education
- Host seminars, tasting events, and workshops to deepen the public’s understanding of the history, brewing techniques, and cultural background of sake and shochu.
2. International Exchange
- Build cultural bridges between the U.S. and Japan by inviting sake breweries, artisans, and cultural groups from Japan to share their knowledge and craft.
3. Resource Connection
- Support sake breweries and cultural organizations in entering the U.S. market while assisting local communities in engaging with Japanese cultural experiences.
4. Cultural Preservation
- Promote and preserve traditional skills, sake ware craftsmanship, and local stories related to sake and shochu.
Future Direction
The Association will introduce more collaborations with regional Japanese organizations and official institutions, bringing the authentic essence of Japan to the U.S. public. We aim not only to offer high-quality sake and shochu but also to help people understand the cultural context and values behind them.
We believe that sake and shochu are not just beverages, but living cultural heritage that carries history, tradition, and emotion.
